Position: Deputy Ward Manager (RMN / RNLD Qualified)
12 Hour Shifts: Days or Nights or a Mixture available, Subject to availability
Salary: up to £19.15 per hour / £39,847 per year (based on 40 Hours)
Contract: Permanent

A fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager to join a leading provider of behavioural care and specialist support services to adults and younger people.
Are you?
An experienced Registered Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with a valid NMC Pin and full eligibility to live and work in the UK.
Must have experience as a Deputy Manager in a hospital setting.
Knowledge, Training and Education:
1. Ensure own compliance and compliance of others with regard to mandatory training and professional development requirements.
2. Registered Nurse with current Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) registration.
3. Practice in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct (2002) and other appropriate NMC guidelines.
4. Evaluate situations through information obtained from patients, their families, and other relevant sources, and the patients’ strengths, disabilities, risks, and vulnerabilities.
5. Work closely with the service user to explore issues to increase understanding, insight and motivation, viewing self-management of risk as essential to recovery.
6. Identify early signs of deterioration in mental state and behaviour; plus, any potential triggers that may lead to risk behaviours recurring.
7. Support service users to develop skills to self-manage their medication through graduated self-medication programmes.
8. Support users to engage/re-engage with family and friends.
9. Identify service needs and use high-level communication, negotiation, and liaison with stakeholders to develop flexible, integrated services.
