Senstronics Ltd is an acknowledged leader in the design, development and production of a high stability range of pressure sensing products, that use a unique thin film technology.
Based in Newton Aycliffe, and established in 1999, Senstronics have invested heavily to develop its own state of the art thin film production facility and in-house ASIC design technology.
Senstronics Ltd has a full time, permanent post immediately available for a suitable candidate to join us as a Buyer. Working as part of the Supply Chain Team, the role will support all aspects of direct and indirect purchasing across the various functions within the business.
Job Purpose:
To work as part of the Supply Chain Team to support the effective buying of products, materials and services relating to the manufacture of pressure transducers.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
1. Indirect procurement of goods and services as required by the business
2. Expedite goods and services providing stakeholder feedback
3. Provide purchasing team with administrative support
4. Ensure vendor records and certification are up to date
5. Investigate and resolve invoice queries in a timely manner
6. Provide support to members of the purchasing team and other associated functions
Candidate Requirements (essential):
1. Demonstrable experience within a procurement role.
2. Ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships.
3. Strong team player
4. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT applications.
5. Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
6. Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently.
7. Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
8. Flexible approach to work.
Candidate Requirements (desirable):
1. Experience of a manufacturing environment.
2. Working knowledge and experience of ERP systems.
