Job Description:
A Business Development Manager / Sales Exec is needed to join Planet Platforms, a UK leader in workplace safety solutions. This role will see you work within a small team driving existing client growth as well as identifying new business targets across the UK.
Founded in 1977, Planet are innovators in bespoke access solutions, helping customers with an array of height safety solutions both in the UK and internationally. With an enviable client base that includes BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce and Bristow Group (to name just a few) Planet Platforms are leaders in their field. This is a unique opportunity for a Business Development Manager (BDM) / Sales Exec to join their team!
As a Sales professional (ideally from B2B, engineering, construction, access solutions, or related industries), you will work at the forefront of the business, generating and following up on sales opportunities (from both assigned leads and your own proactive outreach). You will attend site visits, prepare quotations, and develop strong relationships, while also working alongside the General Manager to impart ideas and strategies that drive growth beyond individual deals.
Full product training is provided, so although height safety / access solutions experience is helpful, it is not essential.
Key Requirements: You should be an ambitious, driven and motivated Business Development Manager / Sales Executive / Sales Representative / Field Sales Exec / Sales Engineer / Technical Sales Professional or similar with a CV that demonstrates:
* The natural ability to communicate with people and build relationships;
* BDM / Sales experience (ideally gained within a B2B / Construction environment or similar);
* That you are practically minded (the ability to understand working drawings is a distinct advantage);
* That you are a team player whilst also happy to work on your own;
* Willingness to travel (as required for onsite visits for surveys and quotations - UK & Int);
* A full UK Driving Licence;
Additional security screening may be required, e.g. DBS check.
