With Intelligence is seeking a bright, enthusiastic reporter to join our six-person editorial team to cover institutional investors in the UK and Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career journalist looking to deepen their experience in financial reporting—or for a more seasoned journalist seeking to pivot into the financial sector. You’ll be joining a global media brand with access to some of the world’s most influential investors.
We're looking for reporters who are hungry for news, proactive in developing sources, and eager to break exclusive stories for our subscriber base. You should feel comfortable speaking with senior executives at large asset owners and pressing for valuable insight.
Prior knowledge of the asset management industry—and specifically British and Irish institutional investors—is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
* Write at least four news articles per week, including off-diary exclusives.
* Pitch and produce insightful pieces on the strategies, plans, and preferences of British and Irish institutional investors and other asset owners.
* Conduct regular interviews with CIOs, Heads of Investment, Heads of Manager Research, and other senior industry professionals.
* Build and maintain a robust contact book of high-level sources.
* Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external PR and communications teams.
* Represent With Intelligence at key industry events, conferences, and summits.
* Take ownership of your subject matter expertise, including hedge funds, private markets, and institutional investing—supported by training and development.
Requirements
* A successful track record of reporting exclusive stories, preferably in financial journalism.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.
* Team player who values honest, open, and constructive feedback.
* An understanding of the asset management industry and asset owners as well as an existing contact book is also advantageous.
* Analytical and comfortable working with data.
