The Role
Children Services are looking to appoint a Team Clerk to work within their Residential Children's Homes.
The successful candidate will work in two of the five Children's Homes on a weekly rota and will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Manager of each home.
Duties will include: maintenance of staff records, word processing, petty cash claims, detailed note taking and ensuring all systems are kept up to date.
About you
You must be proactive, highly motivated & organised and have the ability to work as part of a team. A good level of IT competence is needed to work with database, spreadsheets and word processing tasks on a daily basis.
You should be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate with colleagues and service users and their carers. In addition, you will be expected to participate in the development and continual improvement of this part of the service.
Although it is not essential that you have a sound knowledge of Looked after Children you must feel able to work in a child centred environment which at times can be challenging.
