Electronic Engineer
Location: Rochester (Kent)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
We are currently seeking an Electronic Engineer to join a global leader in the Power and Energy sector.
This role involves designing robust network systems, overseeing operational monitoring, refining power quality standards, and evaluating generator performance for peak efficiency.
Experience
* Hands-on experience with network systems (switches, VLANs) and hardware interfacing (RS232/485).
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
* Familiarity with protocols like IEC104, Modbus, or DLMS is a plus.
* Strong communication skills for collaboration with customers and teams.
* Basic cybersecurity knowledge is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities and Objectives
* Support product design, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure seamless project delivery.
* Train internal teams and customers on hardware/software solutions.
* Resolve network, protocol, and data issues (e.g., VLANs, RS232/485, Modbus).
* Create and maintain technical guides and training materials.
* Set up hardware/software in workshops and occasionally on-site (UK driving license required).
* Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and ensure systems meet specifications.
