We are excited to be working with an excellent special school in Haywards Heath for 6-12 year olds with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC). The school is looking for a full-time teaching assistant from September. The school believes that every child can flourish and are looking for a TA to join the team who believes they have the skillset to enable their pupils to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCPs.
* Support students in their learning activities and encourage participation.
* Help to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff members.
* Foster positive relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and strengths.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
Requirements:
* Experience working with young people with SEMH difficulties or autistic spectrum conditions is highly desirable.
* A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to our values of clarity, openness, and consistency in communication.
