Description of the Role:
Simply Education are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teacher to join our team and work in an inclusive, nurturing school setting within Greater Manchester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and teaching students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, creating a safe and engaging learning environment to help students overcome their barriers to learning and thrive academically and socially.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEMH, ensuring each child receives the individual support they need.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to engage in learning.
• Build strong relationships with students, providing emotional support and helping them develop social and coping skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to create and implement effective support plans for students with SEMH.
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records and providing regular reports to parents and school leadership.
• Promote a positive school culture, encouraging positive behavior and supporting students in managing their emotions.
• Contribute to the development of the school’s SEMH curriculum and interventions.
Applicant Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with students with SEMH, SEN, or additional learning needs is essential.
• Strong knowledge of SEMH strategies, interventions, and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary).
