Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Principle Project Manager to join the Neath Port Talbot Hospital Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Exit project team.
Neath Port Talbot Hospital will become the responsibility of Swansea Bay University Health Board in May 2030 and this role is pivotal in the exit handback process.
The role will ensure that all projects and work streams are properly structured, reported on and tracked in order to deliver programme outcomes and benefits, working closely with Executives / Senior managers and PFI partners to plan and implement the PFI exit for Neath Port Talbot Hospital.
The post will be based close to the Neath Port Talbot Hospital site.
Due to the unique knowledge and skill set required for this role, applicants who may not fulfil all of the essential criteria can be considered for this post under Annex 21 of Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions. Support to achieve the criteria required will be provided
Main duties of the job
This role will be responsible for managing the quality, performance management and delivery of the PFI exit project.
This role has considerable freedom to act with demonstration of experience in managing successful complex projects and partnership working with the public sector.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

1. Masters degree or equivalent
2. PRINCE II and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) qualification.
3. Management qualification or equivalent

4. Proficient using Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

5. Extensive senior management experience, including management of people and financial resources
6. Experience of working in multiple sectors and show evidence of applying private/other sector initiatives successfully in healthcare.
