Scope and Purpose of the Job As the Membership and Member Events Coordinator you will serve as the first point of contact for current and prospective members, delivering a professional and personal customer service. Your role will also encompass comprehensive administrative support for the Membership Department including managing the new member application process, assisting prospective members from the initial inquiry to presenting their completed application to the Membership Committee on a weekly basis. Your role will also include supporting the development of member events and initiatives, enhancing member engagement and fostering the welcoming and friendly atmosphere our members expect and enjoy. Together with the Membership Manager, you will be a key representative of the Club, building professional relationships with members to create a personalised service, strengthening the Club's home-away-from-home philosophy. Role responsibilities: Membership duties Assist the Membership Manager with member engagement, including responding to phone and email inquiries and processing payments Hosting tours of the Club for prospective members Support the Membership Committee in managing the new member application and approval process Maintain member data and ensure the CRM system is kept up to date Create membership reports as needed Member Event duties Create and update marketing collateral as required (InDesign, Canva) Support in keeping social media channels and website pages up to date Address member inquiries regarding event bookings Along with the Marketing Coordinator, deliver and provide a membership presence at Member Events (including out of hours) Assist the wider team in ensuring the events programme is well balanced by suggesting and developing new member event ideas and activities General Ensure strict confidentiality of correspondence, reports, meetings and verbal communications as appropriate Perform additional duties within the scope of the role as required Be fully conversant with Club Rules, Regulations and Staff Handbook Note: Responsibilities may be amended or added based on the Club's evolving needs. Skills and Experience Desired: Relevant experience in an administrative role and customer relations Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills Confidence in engaging with members both in person and over the phone Experience with Microsoft Office, Zoom, InDesign, Campaign Monitor, Canva and WordPress (or similar) and CRM systems desired, but not essential Experience with social media platforms in a business context (Instagram, LinkedIn) desired, but not essential Able to write social-media copy and other engaging material as requested Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage workload effectively. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn; training will be provided for any skills gaps.
