The Role They are seeking to appoint someone with the passion and enthusiasm to join their Design Technology team as a Technician for 19.5 hours per week, term time only. Design Technology (DT) covers several subjects, including food preparation, textiles, resistant materials (woodwork), engineering and design. Ideally, they would like someone to be flexible to work around the key GCSE classes within the school timetable. This can change from year to year but for the rest of this academic year this is: Monday 8.30am – 4.00pm Tuesday 8.30am – 4.00pm Thursday 8.30am – 4.00m Key Responsibilities: Preparing materials for practical lessons. Preparing and setting up classroom equipment. Supporting students in lessons under the direction of the class teacher. Ordering supplies and keeping a check on stock. Providing administrative support as necessary. Conducting periodic safety checks on equipment. Cleaning equipment and areas after use.
