Why be a Graduate Marketing Executive at THG?
As part of the programme you will be enrolled into two 6-month rotations to give you an opportunity to experience different areas of the Division and to enhance your skillset. As a Graduate Digital Marketing Executive you will join one of the below channels:
Social Media Marketing: You will predominantly be responsible for creating engaging posts and interacting with our customers across a variety of social media channels for our brands. Main duties include:
1. Select, edit and post images with well written and engaging captions.
2. Utilise all functionalities of social platforms to drive reach, visibility and engagement.
3. Employ strategies to grow following and industry presence.
4. Ability to read and interpret data and metrics to analyse social performance.
Content Marketing: You will be responsible for producing captivating, performance-driven content for our client sites, with a primary focus on blog content. Main duties include:
1. Work closely with the Content Manager to execute editorial content strategy across the Cult Beauty site. You will produce blog content and website copy that supports trading initiatives and the wider marketing team's objectives, working to drive organic performance.
2. Work with the Content Manager to learn about the blog-hosting platform and CMS, supporting with new content uploads and publication.
3. Conduct market and competitor research in order to produce relevant, valuable content that increases brand awareness and drives traffic to the site.
Product Marketing: You will work closely with product development teams, Brand, marketing, and trading teams to drive awareness and sales for both new and existing products. This will include assisting the Product Marketing team in generating market strategy, developing creative briefs and concepts as well as campaign execution and performance analysis. Main duties include:
1. Channel execution - liaising with marketing, ambassador, trading, new product team, production, and supply teams to bring the product to market.
2. Creative campaign briefing and development - Bringing products to life through creative campaigns and marketing execution, working with our creative studios and in-house marketing teams.
3. Project management skills - Tracking multiple product projects across various stakeholders, ensuring timelines are met and critical paths are adhered to.
4. Product performance - Tracking product performance through reporting to assess success, challenges and opportunities or solutions.
5. Presentation planning and delivery - Supporting business briefs, campaign updates and marketing execution plans to wider stakeholders across the business.
Brand Marketing: Working within the Brand team, you will assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote the brand. They may support campaigns across digital platforms, help with content creation for social media, analyse customer data to optimise marketing efforts, and collaborate with design and sales teams to ensure brand consistency. Main duties include:
1. Assist in executing brand strategies and plans across online and offline channels.
2. Assist in managing brand marketing campaigns from briefing to execution within budget.
3. Support the development of quality campaign briefs informed by data and insights.
4. Contribute to campaign concepts with brand-relevant activation ideas.
Influencer Marketing: You'll manage the end-to-end relationship with our influencers, from initial outreach and budgets, to campaign performance and global strategy. Main duties include:
1. Research and identification of suitable influencers for our Cult Beauty brand.
2. Complete end-to-end relationship management with influencers, from initial outreach emails to processing payments.
3. Input into creative campaign ideas and strategies to build global brand awareness.
Affiliate Marketing: Typically responsible for working with external websites to generate sales from affiliate links. Main duties include:
1. Responsible for executing strategies under the guidance of the Head of Affiliates with an overall goal of improving paid search performance against KPI targets.
2. Working across our market leading websites, you will be responsible for building and managing relationships with our affiliate publishers.
3. Ensure weekly communications are sent out to affiliates across all brands.
Paid Media Marketing: Broken up into Paid Social, Programmatic Display/Youtube & Paid Search:
Paid Social is a method of displaying advertisements or sponsored marketing messages on popular social media platforms and using these platforms to target specific audiences. The Paid Social team will have exposure to, and work across popular channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest and TikTok. Main duties include:
1. To build new campaigns across multiple Paid Social ad-platforms, including Facebook & Instagram as priority platforms.
2. Use data driven insights to quickly iterate and methodically improve results day on day, week on week, and month on month.
3. Specifics of account management and optimisation include audience reviews to ensure relevance and minimal overlap, creative reviews to ensure high quality creative & suitability to targeted audiences.
Paid Search allows brands the chance to advertise within the listings of a search engine by paying either each time an ad is clicked (PPC). You will be responsible for the day to day operations and running of the paid search accounts across primarily Google ads and Microsoft ads. Main duties include:
1. Day-to-day optimisations of text ad and shopping ad activity.
2. Making changes and improvements to product feeds.
3. Updating promotions based on in-house promotional calendars.
Programmatic Display/YouTube allows brands the chance to advertise visual ads to raise awareness of their brand/products to a wide berth of users who have demonstrated an interest in their product/brand or who are the right fit demographically for the brand. This will be across products such as YouTube, Google Display Network, SkyTV & Amazon Display. Main duties include:
1. Audience strategy & creative suggestions.
2. Ensuring brand protection by adhering to campaign best practices.
3. Helping to demonstrate brand uplift & consumer engagement through the use of brand lift studies & cross-channel data insights.
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation): You'll increase the quality and quantity of traffic to our websites using organic (non-paid) search engine results. Main duties include:
1. Manage day-to-day on-page optimisation (h1s, URLs, meta data, internal links and body content) of ecommerce and blog websites.
2. Work closely with Content team, Trading teams, Product teams and Account Managers and the wider department to drive performance.
3. Recommend and scope technical optimisation fixes and/or changes to enhance site crawlability and drive performance.
CRM (Customer Relationship Marketing): You'll manage THG Beauty's interactions with customers and potential customers via email, WhatsApp, SMS, and loyalty schemes. Main duties include:
1. Day-to-day management of CRM Campaigns including taking a brief, to production and delivery of selected campaigns.
2. Develop a testing strategy to identify how to get optimum email results.
3. You will work with the CRM team to implement a dynamic and personalised email strategy that will look to engage customers across varying stages of the journey.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
1. An ambitious graduate looking to start work after graduation in Summer 2025.
2. Commercially astute, ambitious and collaborative individuals who are hungry for success and genuine responsibility.
3. An excellent communicator with the ability to build solid relationships both internally and externally.
4. Strong passion for Ecommerce & Digital Marketing, as well as good organisational skills.
5. A proactive self-starter with a problem-solving attitude and the ability to manage their time effectively.
6. Knowledge of Google Analytics would be beneficial but full support will be provided.
