To provide comprehensive secretarial support for the consultant radiologists to include diary management, leave and administration duties. Ensure consultant leave is communicated to relevant teams and clinical sessions closed. Process on call payments. To effectively liaise with, and support when the service requires, the wider Radiology medical secretaries across all OUH sites. To oversee and action the urgent and departmental email accounts for GP and in-house queries/communication. Action urgent findings to the referrer and MDT's. Ensure discretion and confidentiality is always followed. Designated point of contact for onsite doctors and team queries, escalate when required to the relevant staff member/team. Action private patient requests from appointment to report allocation. To include relevant paperwork for payment and liaise with the Trust's private patient team. Process medicolegal requests for copy imaging. Process patient requests for copies of health care records and imaging. To send/request images via IEP. To be a departmental Superuser for the hospital EPR and Radiology CRIS patient systems. Use a variety of computer systems to include Microsoft applications, EPR, CRIS and IOV. Answer telephone calls from patients, clinical teams, and external health care providers. Always demonstrate professionalism and ensure that enquiries are dealt with efficiently. Understand and follow all admin workflows and processes to ensure an excellent service is provided to both patients and colleagues. Understand and follow the different patient pathways to assist with appointment bookings as and when required. Any other duties as requested by Admin Manager such as reception cover, support for appointments and secretarial teams within Radiology.
