Job summary
The Radiology Department of Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells Hospitals are expanding their services and have vacancies for receptionists to join their busy and friendly team. This is an exciting period in the development of radiology at MTW with the recent introduction of our community diagnostic centre based near to Maidstone Hospital and one which will enhance the availability of diagnostics to patients.
The Radiology Department provides a wide range of services within various imaging modalities including CT, x-ray, ultrasound and nuclear medicine.
Applicants should have excellent communications skills, a pleasant manner and a reasonable level of computer literacy. They should have the desire to expand beyond their current experiences with a willingness to learn and meet new challenges.
Main duties of the job
Whilst not essential, previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting would be an advantage as would working with patient databases.
We are currently working towards a 7-day service, 8am-8pm including bank holidays, to better serve our service users. If you wish to discuss flexible/specific working hours, we are able to be accommodating and flexible where possible.
To work as part of a team providing a high quality of service to patients and staff. Duties will involve primary responsibility for arriving patients onto the radiology information system Soliton and welcoming them into the department, ensuring smooth running of reception, dealing with telephone queries and general clerical duties.
