The 1 st Junior Clerk plays an important role and works closely with the Senior Clerk and Management Committee to drive business development, manage members practices, and overseeing key administrative and clerking functions. They will take responsibility for managing and developing colleagues, professional client relationships, and ensuring the efficient and affective allocation of work. Key Responsibilities: Practice Management & Clerking : - Liaising with solicitors, allocating instructions, negotiating fees, and managing members practices. Team Management - Supervising and developing staff, ensuring efficient clerking operations, and a positive working environment. Business Development - Engaging with a range of professional clients, overseeing marketing initiatives, attending networking events, and driving growth opportunities. Compliance - A dherence to regulatory requirements and the fair allocation of work. Strategy - Supporting Chambers long-term development through innovation and contributing to decision-making processes. Ideal Applicants: Ideally a minimum of 5 years experience in clerking within a fast-paced and successful environment. Proven experience in managing people and fostering a client-focused culture. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and business development skills. Experience with LEX software (desirable but not essential).
