THE JOB
The main purpose of the role is to support the manager in the leadership of the teams whilst providing person centred care and support to people we support in their own homes, enabling them to live a fulfilling life.

Awareness of and engagement with opportunities within the community will be facilitated, ensuring that young people are better connected and enabled to build a strong identity and to work towards the young person’s desired future.
You don’t need to be a driver as service has very good commuting links.
The shifts are 12hours, week and weekends and paid on call.
Specific tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist and devise person centred care plans and review progress, liaising with families and professional agencies as necessary.
2. Communicate with support workers to provide support, guidance and information.
3. Guide and lead Support Workers to develop and maintain high standards of care.
4. Implement staff rotas ensuring that the service is adequately staffed at all times.
5. To assist with medication and accurate recording of medication.
6. Develop and maintain a professional relationship with people we support and help them to develop necessary life skills and satisfy needs.
7. Participate in an on-call rota system and provide hands on support when required.
8. Your standard working hours would be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm however you will be required to cover shifts out of office hours and over the weekend as and if needed
9. As a team leader you will be required to work on the floor supporting our clients. It’s a full time 37.5 hours post which requires you to spend 50% of your working time in the office supporting service manager. Remaining hours you will be required to complete on the floor supporting our staff and clients.
Skills and Experience required:
10. Ideally you will have experience of working and leading a team in a supported living environment however guidance and support from our experienced manager will be provided
11. Personal care is required in all our locations so you will have experience providing personal care.
12. Experience with Mental Health, excellent written and spoken English.
