Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cardiac nurse specialist team. The team is made up of highly skilled Cardiac Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Specialist nurses in electrophysiology, heart failure, and acute coronary syndrome.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated clinical support worker to join our service at University Hospital Dorset. The role involves the management and coordination of care in outpatient services, contributing to the provision of a high standard of cardiology care. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
The position is varied and will require the post holder to be adaptable to demands from patient support, including performing tests such as electrocardiography, administration, and the booking of patients into clinics to ensure they flow smoothly and effectively.
The shift patterns and times will vary according to the needs of the service.

Person specification
Qualifications
* To be educated to GCSE (or equivalent) standard with a pass in English and mathematics.
* NVQ or working towards in health and social care/customer service and administration.
Experience
* Previous experience of working in an acute care setting within a busy hospital environment.
* Experience in the use of Microsoft Office modules (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint) and the use of databases.
* Experience of working with a range of different people.
