Project Officer
Location: Home-Based (with extensive travel across Wales and some travel in England to support event delivery and expected travel to Loughborough Head office)
Circa £26,000 per annum

With experience of project managing and supporting, long term projects you are now looking for your next career move. Here it is, as Project Officer for the Youth Sport Trust. For 30 years The Youth Sport Trust (YST) has worked to improve the lives the young people through the power of sport. We create, develop and deliver programmes and initiatives that improve health, attendance, academic achievement and raise whole-school standards, equipping all young people with skills for life.
As Project Officer, you will provide programme support and co-ordination to our work across Wales, as well as our Set for Success programme. This will include assisting with the coordination of key national events, providing delivery support for programmes, events and networking, and ensuring we put young people’s voice and needs at the heart of our work.
The post will also work closely with other Project Officers and Programme Managers to meet project and organisational goals, you will develop project plans to support the delivery of programmes on time and within budget. You will also develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as coordinate and manage reporting. In addition, you will help evaluate programme impact and work to ensure we adopt efficient ways of operating.
With a background in project management, you will need to be strong at co-ordinating multiple projects and have experience of engaging with external partners. You will also have an understanding of the school and sport landscape across Wales. Comfortable communicating with varied audiences, you will be skilled at analysing data and able to produce high quality reporting. With an eye for detail, you will be used to utilising management information systems and databases for record keeping and can demonstrate budget management skills. On a personal level you will be self-motivated, pro-active and quick to resolve problems. Highly organised you are able to respond effectively to changing requirements and deadlines.
