Job Title: Registered Manager - Children's Home
Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience)About the Role:
Our client, a well-established residential childrens home provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee their children's home. This role is perfect for a motivated and compassionate individual who is committed to delivering high-quality care and ensuring the welfare and development of young people in a residential setting.
As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the children's home while leading and motivating a team of dedicated staff to provide exceptional care. You will ensure that all regulations are adhered to, working closely with the team to deliver a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for the children and young people in your care.Key Responsibilities:
? Oversee the daily operations of the residential childrens home to ensure compliance with the Childrens Home Regulations and Ofsted standards.
? Lead, manage, and support a team of residential care staff, including recruitment, training, and development.
? Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and young people in your care, providing a nurturing and therapeutic environment.
? Develop and implement care plans, ensuring that they meet the individual needs of each child or young person.
? Build positive relationships with external agencies, families, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
? Maintain high standards of record-keeping and case management in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
? Monitor the performance of the home through regular audits, reviews, and performance management.
? Take responsibility for the home's budget, ensuring the effective use of resources. ? Provide leadership and guidance to staff, offering support and supervision when necessary.Essential Qualifications and Experience:
? Minimum 2 years experience in a senior position within a residential children's home, with proven leadership and management experience.
? Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce Qualification (or equivalent). ? Knowledge of relevant legislation and Ofsted standards governing children's homes.
? Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety protocols.
? Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a timely manner. ? A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a commitment to their welfare and development.Desirable Skills:
? Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
? Experience in preparing for and participating in Ofsted inspections.
