The role of the Building Surveyor (Property Maintenance) will be responsible for the delivery of minor works projects, reactive and planned maintenance and the improvement of the building assets properties within Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council.

A Fixed Term position has arisen within the Property Maintenance section, for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering minor works and small capital projects specific to Building Assets properties within the Local Authority (e.g. Education, Regeneration & Corporate Landlord etc.).
The role will involve leading on design works in relation to minor works and capital projects specific to building assets at new and refurbished properties at various portfolios within the Authority. This will include carrying out building surveys including preparation of drawings / specifications for minor works projects and placing relevant orders to comply with Authorities Procurement Policy. This will involve working closely with clients, contractors and other various technical teams.
The successful candidate will also assist on the development of the Division’s expertise in all aspects of statutory testing in order to implement a testing regime, so that the Authority meets its statutory requirements.
