As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the IP MMC organization, you apply deep knowledge of enterprise hardware for Mainframe technology within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Job responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain enterprise hardware systems supporting mainframe technologies. Manage and optimize the performance of infrastructure components, ensuring high availability and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure requirements. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to prevent downtime. Ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols. Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and configurations. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices and troubleshooting techniques. Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on enterprise systems. Deep knowledge of one or more areas of infrastructure engineering such as hardware, networking terminology, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments. Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.) Proficiency in enterprise hardware technology, including but not limited to IBM Z, IBM DS8000, IBM FS9000, IBM TS7700, Brocade and CISCO SAN directors, IBMi, IBM Power, and Dell-EMC Data Domain. Advanced Certification in one or more enterprise systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience with Agile frameworks. Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and execution. Knowledge of data replication technology such as synchronous/asynchronous replication. Knowledge of backup tools such as safeguarded copy. Experience designing datacenter infrastructure such as fiber-optic cabling, power, and networking.
