Job Description: As a ADABAS & Natural Mainframe System Programmer, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our mainframe systems, ensuring their reliability, performance, and security. You will be part of a team of system programmers and collaborate with global cross-functional teams to support the organization's mainframe infrastructure needs. Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation and optimization of mainframe infrastructure to support business objectives. Collaborate with IT and business teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational needs. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Conduct system performance analysis and implement improvements to enhance efficiency. Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Mentor and guide junior system programmers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the mainframe environment. Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: Formal training or certification on Computer Science concepts and proficient advanced experience. Knowledge within the financial industry, with a focus on mainframe systems Extensive experience with ADABAS DB Infrastructure and Natural programming languages. Strong knowledge of mainframe infrastructure, including z/OS, JCL, TSO, ISPF, RACF and CICS. Proficiency in system performance tuning and optimization techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Experience in project management and the ability to lead complex initiatives. Preferred qualifications, capabilities & skills: Knowledge of database management systems and data modeling. Familiarity with security protocols and best practices for mainframe systems. Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
