The successful applicant will support the MMC informatics team, contributing to the core mission of connecting our Data, Automation, and Predictive Science and Tech organizations to the laboratory. This is an opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to advance efforts from initial drug design through the API development process. You will assist in delivering data workflows, software solutions, and computational automation that enable ambitious experiments. Note that this is a hybrid working role with at least 50% of time spent on-site, and a significant degree of remote collaboration. In this role you will: Support and develop existing analytical and high-throughput chemistry informatics platforms and solutions. Develop new digital workflows that enable automation of complex laboratory processes. Develop technical documentation including requirements documentation, and architecture documentation. Collaborate with team members and other internal partners, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: BSc in a relevant scientific or computational discipline with significant pharmaceutical industry experience and training, or MSc with practical industrial experience in a professional setting. Experience of generating or utilizing experimental synthetic and medicinal chemistry data, interacting with experiment capture systems, and accelerating research through automation. Experience developing and utilizing computer programming and scripting languages such as Python, R, C/C++, or C# with knowledge of basic software development practices and tools. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Experience using collaborative version control platforms, integrated development environments, and source code editors. Knowledge and understanding of modern technologies, infrastructures, and cloud architectures; ideally Azure and Google cloud platforms, and big data. Experience with databases and query languages and databases. Experience with developing and incorporating APIs. Experience with laboratory automation and development of custom automation workflows.
