Graduate Data Insight Analyst - Brighton We have a great opportunity for a Graduate Data Insight Analyst to join our leading-edge 2 Year Graduate development programme starting in September 2025. About the project CMDP is a joint venture between Costain and MWH Treatment. CMDP have secured a new AMP8 Capital Programme. The Strategic Delivery Partner Framework Agreement with Southern Water for Water supply and wastewater treatment work in the eastern half its region (Kent & Sussex). This represents continuation of the successful joint venture between Costain and MWH Treatment. Between 2025-2030 CMDP will deliver critical investment to Water and Wastewater infrastructure across the region including upgrades to Water and Wastewater Treatment Works, Pumping Stations and Reservoirs. Purpose of the role The purpose of the role is to provide clear and concise data and analysis from the various data systems facilitating and allowing decision making. The Data Insight Analyst role will report into the Data Insight Practice Lead, which will initially report into the ERP & Data Platforms Manager. The role will deliver data and information into client facing projects in addition to back-office corporate services; the emphasis of the role will initially be on internal corporate work, moving to client facing projects across all our UK clients as part of professional development. Attainment of qualifications in ITIL, Agile and at least one Microsoft or Oracle professional accreditation during your first year in the role is desired but not essential. Key Responsibilities - Deliver and maintain the ongoing development of BSG's data insight products and services. - Create insight and efficiencies in business processes and in data-related value offerings. - Foster value creation using the organisation's data assets, as well as the external data ecosystem. This includes aiding value creation through data exploitation, envisioning data-enabled strategies, as well as enabling all forms of business outcomes through analytics, data and analytics governance, process efficiency and enterprise information policy. -Utilise and optimise industry-standard business processes, to foster standardization and efficiency in our projects and back-office functions. - Provide and maintain technology expertise and personal accreditations (included, but not limited to Microsoft and / or Oracle technologies, including: PowerBI, Dynamics 365, Office 365, Azure; or equivalents such as Cognos, SAP Business Objects, Amazon Web Services etc). Costain Graduate Development Programme Our programme focuses on helping individuals to learn a mix of both Leadership and Technical skills. We offer a structured training programme to enable graduates to work towards achieving Chartership in their chosen field. Graduates may also have the opportunity, after the first 8 - 10 months to rotate and to work on a number of exciting and progressive projects around the UK during the 2-year period, experiencing the best we have to offer across the different sectors we work in. Our line managers are fully supportive of the Graduate Development Programme and will be involved in helping you along the way. Extra Information Please note that for some of our roles, and to rotate around the business as part of the Graduate scheme, you may be required to obtain and maintain security clearance of at least Security Check level. For this you will need to have been a legal U.K. resident for a minimum of 5 years and be able to successfully complete the vetting process. About you - A Bachelor's degree at grade 2:2 or above in Computer science, Information systems or a related study (or equivalent project-related experience). - Logical, concise, persuasive communication skills. - Effective conceptualization, pattern recognition and logical decomposition skills. - Familiarity with data science concepts, as well as MDM, business intelligence, and data warehouse design and implementation techniques. - Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs. - Have passion for Costain's Carbon Net Zero targets - IT proficient, ideally using Microsoft or Oracle technologies - Experience of designing, implementing, and supporting information solutions - Hands-on experience with Office 365, Dynamics 365 or PowerBI is preferred - Able to work accurately and appreciate its importance to the team - A willingness to learn with appropriate instruction - Excel at building and maintaining positive relationships - The ability to thrive in time sensitive situations - Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills - Full UK Driving License - Mobility to work on various projects over the 2-year programme throughout the UK if required About Costain At Costain, we help to improve people's lives by creating connected, sustainable infrastructure that enables people and the planet to thrive.
