Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant
Location: Brighton and Hove
Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a day-to-day basis across various schools in Brighton and Hove. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and are seeking flexible work in education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with special educational needs, ensuring their well-being and academic progress.
* Assist class teachers in implementing tailored educational plans and managing classroom activities.
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
* Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural needs in line with their individual learning plans.
* Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs of the children you are supporting.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN), is highly desirable.
* A patient, caring, and empathetic attitude.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
