Enzen has experienced impressive growth under the previous owners - in 2007 the business turnover was less than £1m and by 2024 this had increased to just under £50m turnover. It was recognised that the business required an uplift in professionalisation and subsequent investment to fulfil its true potential.
In 2024 a private equity firm acquired the business with a strategy to grow the business through both organic growth and acquisition. Enzen has the ambition and the financial support to deliver rapid growth in the next 3 years, and to enhance their reputation as a market leader. A new leadership team is now in place to deliver this growth with the impact being felt already.
Global head of practice - Cyber security
Enzen has retained Williams Bain to recruit a growth driven Global Head of Cyber Security who can build a high performance team that will deliver market leading technologies and services to their clients.
Working with Enzen’s Account Managers and Business Development Managers the head of cyber security will be responsible for tailoring technical solutions that enhance their clients operational delivery capability. The business has been successful in winning places on frameworks and this is viewed as a key contributor to growth.
The successful candidate will create cyber security products and solutions in collaboration with the other Enzen global heads of practice including; IOT, Digital Transformation, SCADA and Digital Twin. It is envisaged that this collaboration will lead to the development of new intellectual property that delivers enhanced security offerings. NPD and bespoke security services created through a consultative and innovative approach will be a major part of this roles’ responsibilities.
In addition to building the Enzen Cyber Security Practice in a client-facing role, the candidate will also have responsibility for Cyber Security across the Enzen estate. This will require leading the team with a hands-on approach to architecture design, delivery and eco system management. As such, applicants must be certified in two or more of the following; CISSP, CEH, CISM, GICSP, CRISC, CCSP.
This is a rare opportunity to build a Cyber Security Practice with a Private Equity backed business that is prepared to invest. Enzen is uniquely placed to be the market leader within Utilities (and associated sectors) for Cyber Security and this role is integral to delivering that vision.
First 100 days
* Enhance the sales proposition for the Cyber security practice for UK, Australia, Spain, Europe, and the USA through market analysis
* Build a solid working relationship with the other practice heads to enable cross selling opportunities with existing clients
* Identify 3-5 acquisition targets for advisory and product capabilities in cyber security and establish partnerships with 2-3 key cyber security vendors or alliances in the UK
* Build a pipeline of potential deals for the next 12 months, focusing on cyber security assessments, product integration, and long-term partnerships.
* Ensure the Enzen internal infrastructure is Cyber safe and create measurable KPIs for risk reduction and system resilience
* Start to build the Cyber Security practice through the hiring of a strong technical team
First 12 months
* Achieve the revenue plan from cyber security services and products including recurring revenue through long-term contracts for managed security services
* Through organic growth and acquisition, capture market share in the cyber security advisory and product space within the utility sector in targeted regions
* Lead NPD and innovation integrated with Digital Twin, IoT, and OT solutions to establish Enzen as a leader in utility-focused cyber security
* Expand cyber security key vendors or alliances enabling Enzen to co-host events and seminars that showcase a comprehensive suite of cyber security solutions.
* Achieve 100% compliance with GDPR, NERC CIP, and other relevant regulatory standards across Enzen’s internal systems and client-facing solutions.
