Description Role Title - Cafe Assistant Volunteer Role Purpose - Community Cafe Volunteers play a key role in making the Galafield Café and Soft Play a safe, welcoming and thriving place for the local community. You will use your skills in cooking, serving and welcoming people to the café, as well as organising special events and parties. How Often/How Long – Weekly for a couple of hours, usually between 11am and 1pm Minimum Age – 18 Disclosure Checks – Yes Is driving essential for the role? - No What we need you to do To assist in the day-to day running of the Café, e.g. preparing food and clearing up To help organise special events e.g. children’s events, family cook sessions, pensioners lunches To provide a warm welcome to everyone using the café To support each other as part of a team What skills and experience do you need? Be friendly and have a good sense of humour Understand of the needs of children, young people and their families, also the wider community See the importance of a welcoming café to benefit the whole community Be reliable What we can offer: An excellent opportunity to build skills and volunteer within our charity We can be a reference for any future endeavours.
