An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tramcar Technician Lead to join our transport maintenance team within Beamish Museum. In this role, you will lead in the completion of tram maintenance requirements, ensuring a safe, reliable and available tramcar fleet for operation. You will be working under the supervision of the Transport Manager and alongside the Tramcar Technician, supporting the delivery of the museum’s transport maintenance plan. You will play a key role by completing planned and reactive maintenance. We don’t expect you to have experience, knowledge or skills relating to historic tramcar maintenance. We appreciate this is a niche area, but we are keen to hear from you if you have transferable skills from the engineering and transportation sectors. Full support and familiarisation will be provided by the existing team and tramway’s volunteer support group.
