We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our Surgical Technologies Sales team covering South & Midlands of the UK.
Working closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager, you will:
1. Develop and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders.
2. Take an active part in customer education in the field, supporting the Regional Sales Representatives to achieve greater customer engagement and commercial success with our newly launched Neptune portfolio.
3. Actively pursue business opportunities to grow Stryker business in targeted accounts while displaying exemplary customer service and patient focus.
In this role you will:
1. Develop the skills required to become an effective sales representative.
2. Work closely with the sales team on driving compliance to current contracts.
3. Learn and practice the techniques required to grow the volume of a defined territory through sales of the Surgical Technologies portfolio.
4. Focus on market-leading brands such as Neptune and Safe Air.
5. Manage business in accounts within an existing sales territory and be responsible for the day-to-day running of key accounts.
6. Deal with stock issues, instrument requirements, organizing loan kits, and carrying out regular customer training.
7. Support other sales managers to allow them to concentrate on new business acquisition and account development.
This is a training role with a view to becoming a full-time Sales Representative with independent targets and business objectives. Initially, there will be no individual sales target. Bonus will be based on achievement of milestones/objectives and regional target achievement.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
1. Learn the skills required to manage a territory effectively and grow business in line with National sales objectives.
2. Implement training sessions and workshops on the use of Stryker products for nurses, theatre practitioners, and surgeons.
3. Understand customers’ needs and identify opportunities to promote and sell Stryker’s products.
4. Manage the provision of products into hospitals through consignment of kits or use of our loan service.
5. Provide customer service to an existing customer base within the theatre and clinical environment.
6. Work closely with other Sales team members and the Business Unit Manager to ensure best-in-class customer service levels across the region.
7. Demonstrate outstanding ethics and treat customers and employees with respect.
8. Conduct trials and evaluations of product in theatre and clinical environments as required.
9. Record details of customers and maintain a basic business plan highlighting daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.
Job Requirements:
1. Sales or business experience is advantageous but not essential.
2. Commercial acumen and an interest or experience in dealing with customers.
3. Computer skills, particularly MS Office.
4. Presentation skills with modern presentation media.
5. Workshop/demonstration/training skills.
6. An interest in anatomy and physiology.
7. A background that demonstrates an ability to engage with others, influence, motivate, and work hard.
