Assistant Accountant - Hybrid / Chippenham - £28K to £30K
Your new role
You'll be joining a busy finance team with a leading employer in the South West, supporting the Team Lead with a number of financial accounting-based responsibilities. Deliverables include:
1. Timely issuing of invoices, reconciliation and production of accounts for review.
2. Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and escalating issues promptly.
3. Supporting half-year and year-end external audits.
4. Identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
5. Identifying key controls in the processes and implementing improvements where necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to be AAT or ACCA/CIMA part-qualified with experience preparing balance sheet reconciliations and a good understanding of accounting concepts and an ability to identify process improvements. Experience working in a medium to large organisation is preferred.
This role is worked on a hybrid basis with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. Applicants need to be based within a commutable range of Chippenham, Wiltshire to be considered.
