Job Description:
We’re looking for a passionate 2x Senior Finance Business Partner to work closely with Directors of National Grid’s Electricity Transmission business, responsible for delivering a major upgrade that National Grid has seen in decades. These projects will connect customers directly, transforming our business and serving clients like Microsoft, Rolls Royce, and UK Power Networks, enabling them to achieve their strategic goals.
This role provides financial leadership, partnering with teams responsible for customer connection and infrastructure delivery.
This position is based in Warwick, with a flexible working pattern of at least two days in the office per week. We are open to discussions on flexible working arrangements to suit your needs.
What You'll Do
* Develop and oversee the financial plan for Customer Connections or Infrastructure Development & Delivery.
* Provide financial leadership and support to the respective teams.
* Build and develop a high-performing finance team with strong succession planning.
* Ensure budgets and forecasts are based on solid assumptions.
* Interpret key financial metrics to inform business performance.
* Act as the key financial partner between the teams and finance leadership.
What You'll Have
* A qualified accountant, preferably with audit or consulting experience.
* Demonstrated leadership in finance and business.
* A proven track record of delivering commercial benefits.
* Strong relationship-building skills.
* An engaging personality capable of leading and collaborating.
* Ability to partner effectively with senior leadership to drive financial and operational outcomes.

Further Information
This is a hybrid role based in Warwick, with about 2 days in the office. The closing date is 2nd October 2024, with interviews scheduled from the week of 7th October 2024. We recommend early applications.
