PERMANENT POSITION
BASED NEAR CRANBROOK, KENT
ROLE
Job Purpose:
To support the Technical Department in maintaining and enhancing Food Safety and Quality Management Standards across all areas of production, promote and encourage a culture of high standards in Food Safety, Quality and Compliance.
Largely office based role with some factory work.
Key Duties:
1. Be supportive member of technical department by ensuring compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, Quality, GMP and H&S procedures.
2. Develop and update technical documentation.
3. Conduct internal audits, finished product traces, and support technical team during external audits.
4. Collaborate with cross functional teams and communicate effectively, consistent, and correct information recording.
5. Liaise with customer regarding technical and quality queries.
6. Support and liaise with technical team to resolve customer queries.
7. Managing training matrix and assist with training ensuring full understanding of Food Safety, Quality and Legal requirements.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall Product Safety and Quality.
CANDIDATE
1. Food Technology/Science or equivalent degree desirable.
2. Experience in a Technical/Quality role within Food Manufacturing essential.
3. Awareness, good understanding of HACCP, GMP, BRCGS standard and food legislation.
4. Be highly organised with the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
5. Have competent IT skills, exceptional attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication skills at all levels.
7. Able to work well within a team, as well as independently.
MON-FRI office Hours with flexibility either 7am-4pm/8am-5pm/8:30am-5:30pm
