Job Description Join our dynamic team at a large, modern printing plant where innovation meets excellence. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to ensure our state-of-the-art printing equipment and machinery run smoothly, maintaining our high standards of operational efficiency. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the upkeep of our printing equipment. This opportunity is perfect for an experienced maintenance engineer with a background in the printing industry, though this is not essential. Your expertise will help us meet performance targets and maximise operational efficiency. What You’ll Be Doing Dive into general maintenance tasks, diagnose faults, and troubleshoot any hiccups to keep our machinery humming smoothly. You'll be working hand-in-hand with our engineering and production teams, ensuring there's always someone on hand to tackle machinery breakdowns. We take safety seriously here You'll help us adhere to and even improve our Health & Safety policies. Be proactive with our Planned Preventative Maintenance System, catching potential issues before they become problems. Qualifications What you'll need to succeed: You're a time-served Mechanical Engineer with experience in pneumatics and hydraulics. Familiarity with machine shops (like using lathes, millers, and pillar drills) is a plus. You bring a proactive, can-do attitude to the table. Your analytical and problem-solving skills are top-notch. Communication is key, and you're great at both verbal and written exchanges. Ideally, you've got an HNC or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or an apprenticeship in Manufacturing Engineering. Comfortable with a flexible working approach this role is 37.5 hours per week 2 days 2 nights - 4 on 4 off. Additional Information What can we offer you?
