In this role you are responsible to the project manager for all technical matters in the project. Together with the process engineer, hydraulic engineer, mechanical engineer, and electrotechnical/instrumentation engineer you ensure timely delivery of our design documents in a good quality. We sell our technology in technology design packages. Together with the project manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of our design services for our Nereda, Ephyra, Helea, and Kaumera-projects. Your projects will be mainly in the United Kingdom, but may also be in Ireland or other countries in the world. Where you will work The Business Unit Water Technology Products (WTP) of the Business Line Water & Maritime delivers wastewater technologies like Nereda, Ephyra, Helea and Kaumera all over the world. The business unit started ten years ago with Nereda technology, which is now used in more than 100 projects in 22 countries across 6 continents. With the ambitions of strong growth of our technology portfolio, we are looking for a colleague to strengthen our team in the United Kingdom for these exciting projects. We are a very international oriented business unit, with colleagues of more than 10 nationalities working in different countries around the world. What You Bring You have a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering. You have at least 8 years of work experience in design of wastewater treatment plants and sludge treatment centres. You have experience in doing projects for contractors and water utilities in the UK. You have experience of working with remote, multi-disciplinary, and multi-national teams. You have excellent communication skills and you are client oriented. You have a hands-on mentality and drive for design quality. You speak and write English fluently. You are based in United Kingdom, and are able to travel (when required) both nationally and internationally You will work from our UK offices and the clients / project offices as required You will work from our offices in the Netherlands for short but regular periods as required What we offer you Ambitious.
