Your new role Our client is seeking an experienced Project Planner to join their dynamic team in Preston. This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing project schedules, ensuring timely delivery, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders to drive project success. The successful candidate will be instrumental in planning and monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Responsibilities will include: Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning software. Working closely with project managers and site teams to track project progress and adjust plans as necessary. Identifying critical path activities and potential risks to ensure timely project completion. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution. Preparing regular progress reports and presenting updates to senior management and clients. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards. Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies. Supporting tender planning and bid submissions where required. What you will need to succeed: Proven experience as a Project Planner within the construction industry. Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling techniques, and risk management. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to analyse data, prepare reports, and present findings effectively. Experience in working on large-scale commercial or residential construction projects is highly desirable.
