Job Description Project Manager Full-Time Derby/Hybrid (3 days a week on-site) What you will be doing An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Trent XWB-97CI programme for a Project Manager to join our Hot End team. As a project manager you will be accountable for Component Packages within the Hot End Sub-System team (Combustor, HP Turbine and IP Turbine). Responsibilities In this role, you’ll be accountable for the successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined package of work within the project. You will also: Team leadership responsibilities, including the planning and prioritisation of a cross functional team where some members of the team are likely to be in other countries. Be responsible for the creation and management of an integrated set of plans / schedules. Develop and secure budgets for the project(s) and control the forecast and actual costs against the allocated budget. Ensure the implementation of company management processes are effective & efficient and implement Project Management best practice in line with company management processes. Why Rolls-Royce? The Trent XWB-97CI Step3 programme has a significant number of Combustion & Turbine modifications. We are just about to complete APQP-PDR (production concept down select) and really get into executing the Engine Development Programme and Production Component ‘Design and Make’ activity. The Trent XWB-97 Step 3 development programme is the largest investment in Civil Aerospace in the next 5 years. The Engine development programme runs through 2025-26 and ‘Entry-into-Service’ is in 2027, ramping up to full cut-over/rate by 2029. The Trent XWB-97CI Step3 programme is primarily focussed on enhancing the engines durability, whilst building on the great reputation that the Trent XWB-97 Engine has for in service reliability.
