We’re looking for an ambitious Graduate or Assistant Land Agent to join our team in Claydon, Ipswich. This is an exciting opportunity to build a career in estate and farm management within a forward-thinking, employee-owned business.
The job role will include:
1. Estate & farm management – overseeing estates, managing environmental schemes, and handling client requests.
2. Agreement structuring – drafting Farm Business Tenancies, Contract Farming Agreements, Licences, and rent reviews.
3. Environmental schemes – assisting with SFI, CSS, and capital grant applications.
4. Utility works & compensation – supervising projects and handling negotiations.
5. Residential & commercial property management – budgets, repairs, inspections, and lettings.
6. Planning – advising on development opportunities and permitted development applications.
7. Mapping & boundaries – assisting with disputes and creating Land Registry-compliant plans.
Key Requirements
1. You will be a team player with strong communication and negotiation skills.
2. Commercially aware with an eye for detail.
3. Passionate about rural business, land, and farm management.
4. A role with travel to farms and clients, so a full UK driving licence is required.
Training Plans
The role will involve a large amount of on-the-job training. Sentry operates a range of training courses for staff members and managers at all levels.
You will be given a Personal Development Plan and begin your training period within the first 6 months of joining. This will be a mix of internal, external, and on-the-job training.
