Your responsibilities
* Implement and work to all applicable regulatory and quality requirements as stipulated within the KeyMed Quality Manual, Quality Policy, and Quality Objectives.
* Implement and work to all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental requirements as stipulated within the HSE Manual, HSE Policies, and HSE Objectives.
* Ensure successful completion of mandatory training.
* Ensure materials are received into the goods receiving bays within 24 hours of their arrival.
* Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental procedures & policies.
* Maintain accuracy of stock counts by receiving the correct quantities of components into the goods receiving bays both physically and on the ERP system.
* Ensure quick transit of component parts from KLM to MDMC ready for line feeding to shop floor locations.
* Train other staff members who are asked to work in the goods inwards areas.
* Liaise with the purchasing team to resolve booking-in concerns or issues.
* Participate in investigations when deliveries are received damaged or cannot be located.
* Maintain the lifting equipment within the goods inwards area in line with the maintenance sheets.
* Be prepared to work in both KLM & MDMC goods receiving areas including “marketplace” as and when required.
Minimum Requirements
* Experience in a Goods Receiving/Inwards department.
* Computer literate; knowledge of ERP systems is desirable but not essential.
* Fork-lift truck licence (Highly desirable); alternatively, extensive experience with Fork-lifts is required.
* UK recognised full driving licence (Desirable).
* Experience with measuring equipment and tools for goods inspection.
* Experience in using measuring equipment and goods inwards inspection (Essential).
The role requires you to be on your feet for extended periods during your general day-to-day activities, which include walking between sites. Some lifting of components within Health & Safety regulation limits will be required, as well as moving pallets of work throughout the building to their designated location using a pallet truck. Regular pushing and manoeuvring of various assembly/transit aids is expected.
