Career Teachers Leicester have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational, dedicated and qualified (UQT will also be considered) Social Science Teacher to teach at a Secondary School in Leicester.
The School:
There are a number of thriving and constantly improving schools in Leicester is currently seeking a qualified Social Science teacher who will be teaching KS3/KS4 classes. They are looking for a teacher who can constantly engage students in their work, and who can also help students progress through their education.
Your new role:
You will need to plan and deliver dynamic Social Science lessons to pupils, teaching Sociology, Child Development and Ethics to ensure pupils develop their skills. You will also be required to monitor the progression of students to ensure that they are developing their knowledge of Social sciences to help students make the right advancements.
The ideal candidate:
Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QLTS) with Social Sciences as a discipline
Unqualified teachers who hold a recognised qualification will be considered.
Have good subject knowledge and experience of teaching across KS3 and KS4 in a UK school setting
Monitor and assess pupils effectively to ensure pupil progress
Excellent communication skills
Strong classroom and behaviour management
A valid enhanced DBS check on the update service (or be willing to process one with us)
