About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic professional to take on the pivotal role of Antenatal & Newborn Screening Coordinator. In this role, you will bring highly developed specialist knowledge and extensive experience in antenatal and newborn screening, using your expertise to lead a multidisciplinary team and drive the delivery of exceptional care.
Main duties of the job
* Leadership & Coordination: Oversee all six antenatal and newborn screening programmes across the Trust, ensuring effective delivery, quality assurance, and robust failsafe mechanisms.
* Collaboration: Work closely with diverse teams, including ultrasound, fetal medicine, early pregnancy units, hearing screening, paediatrics, laboratories, Child Health Records Departments, tertiary centres, and quality assurance teams.
* Policy & Quality Management: Develop, implement, and audit policies, guidelines, and pathways, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to high standards.
* Performance Reporting: Provide regular updates on programme performance to NHS England screening commissioners, regional quality assurance teams, and Trust leadership.
* Family & Staff Support: Act as a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, offering guidance and support to families and staff involved in antenatal and newborn screening.
