Hays are working with a leading Scottish University to recruit an Integration Developer.
Design, develop, implement, and maintain business applications across the administrative, teaching, and research functions of the University. Deliver solutions that maximize service quality and efficiency.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Requirement Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to develop technical solutions.
* Collaboration: Work with senior developers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to develop and maintain integrations and the Boomi Enterprise Integration Platform.
* Design & Documentation: Create detailed design specifications and technical documentation.
* Testing: Perform robust and continuous testing of the Enterprise Integration Platform, including performance and integration testing.
* User Support: Provide information for user guides and deliver training sessions.
* System Support: Monitor systems for availability and performance, providing third-line user support.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to University policies and IT Services standards.
* Workload Management: Plan daily workload, provide estimates, and manage tasks using tracking software.
* Security: Apply security by design principles and conduct security tests.
* Continuous Learning: Stay updated with new technologies and maintain skills.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Knowledge/Qualifications
* Professional knowledge and skills acquired through personal development or equivalent qualifications (SCQF level 9, 10, or 11).
* Knowledge of enterprise integration tools, middleware technologies, and application/data integration patterns.
* Knowledge of messaging technologies (XML, JSON, web services, HTTP).
* Knowledge of Agile software development practices.
* Understanding of FOI and DPA legislation.
* Knowledge of the Boomi Enterprise Integration Platform.
* Understanding of SQL and relational database management systems.
