Job Title: Catering Assistant

Pay rate: £13.13 ph (enhanced rate for weekends)
Hours / Shifts: 30 hrs / 10:00 - 18:00 or 10:00 - 18:30

We have a temporary opportunity available for catering staff at Ravenswood House (medium secure mental health unit). Catering staff are responsible for working with other catering assistants to serve healthy and nutritional meals. The food must meet patients' medical and cultural needs including, for example, gluten free, low fat, soft food, halal, and vegetarian.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Cleaning kitchen equipment
2. Storing food correctly
3. Making sure as little as possible is wasted
4. Providing excellent customer service
Skills required:
1. Basic Food Hygiene certificate is mandatory (Level 2)
2. Allergen awareness
3. Must have previous experience in a similar large catering outlet.
4. Excellent time management skills.
5. Driving license and access to own transport due to limited public transport times
