Our client is a successful business that has seen rapid growth in the past 12 months. They are based in Eastleigh and do require travel to their offices.
Job Description
As the Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for:
3. Processing receipts, payments and transfer of client monies
4. Processing client matter office payments and transfers
5. Ensuring client ledgers are up to date and accurate
6. Reviewing and processing invoices on client matters
7. Daily bank reconciliations
8. Contribute to accurate and timely month end closure. This role includes serving as a hands-on team member responsible for performing and reviewing transactions.
9. Working with the Team to ensure the Accounts Rules are being adhered to.
10. Support the delivery of relevant training to new and existing staff as needed.
11. Assist with the review and development of relevant training guides and documentation for the team.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful for the Legal Cashier position, you must:
12. Previous experience working within a Finance department is essential. This might have been gained as a Legal Cashier, however if you have experience as a Finance Administrator or Assistant, we would encourage you to apply.
13. It is desirable for the preferred candidate to have knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), although this is not essential as training can be provided.
14. Good knowledge of Excel and Word with accurate keyboard skills.
15. Experience of using Elite 3E would be advantageous, but not essential.
16. A good working knowledge of relevant VAT rules would also be an advantage
