Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our team at a school in Birmingham. This is a long-term, full-time position starting ASAP!
Working hours will be: 8:30 - 4pm Monday - Friday.
It is essential that you have relevant science technician experience.
Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Support teachers in delivering engaging and practical science lessons across all fields.
2. Prepare and maintain lab equipment, ensuring a safe and well-functioning environment.
3. Take a proactive approach to work.
4. Be organised and knowledgeable of the relevant health and safety regulations.
5. Able to manage the stock control of chemicals and equipment.
6. Collaborate effectively with the Senior Science Technician and other staff.
7. The ideal candidate will have good IT skills, enjoy science and practical work, and be familiar with modern scientific laboratory techniques. Previous experience of working in a school laboratory is desirable but not essential.

1. Experience working as a Science Technician (desirable).
2. Strong knowledge of science concepts and practical techniques.
3. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
4. A commitment to health and safety regulations in a lab setting.
5. Passion for science and a desire to ignite curiosity in students.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and colleagues.
