KGS is seeking to appoint an outstanding Learning Support Practitioner to efficiently lead the Learning Support department.
At KGS, Learning Support is a well-established and integral part of the school. Students with underlying learning difficulties and/or disabilities benefit from the outstanding range of opportunities available to all students across the school.
We require a highly qualified practitioner to lead this important department. The successful candidate will ensure the current SEND policy is effectively followed and work closely with the Assistant Head Teaching and Learning to continuously review and develop the work of the SEND department to support student needs and develop staff awareness.
Experience of coordinating the Exam Access arrangement processes successfully is essential, as is being able to teach and support highly academic students with additional learning needs. You must be able to work calmly under pressure and ensure that all deadlines are met within the department and records kept to the highest standard, in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
The role is offered on a full-time basis. We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience plus generous benefits.
