Job summary The Imaging Department is part of CDG11 within the Trust management structure incorporating Radiology & Medical Physics, Critical Care & Outreach, Laboratory Medicine, Pharmacy, Theatres, Surgical Admission, Anaesthetics & Pre-op and Pain Management. Individual Consultants also provide a lead role in areas of sub specialist interest where they coordinate service delivery and modernisation initiatives as well as ensuring service developments are introduced effectively within their areas. The Clinical Service Lead for Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology is Dr Saleh Lamin. The Trust has a Philips PACS with Voice Recognition capability. The Imaging Department at UHB offers a comprehensive range of high specification imaging equipment including: 15 MRI scanners including a wide bore 1.5 Tesla and three 3 Tesla machines (the ITM 3 Tesla scanner being dedicated for research) 12 CT scanners Dedicated Neuroradiology biplane Angiography Suite Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be expected to join our team of enthusiastic Consultants to contribute to the increasing workload of the department which has been driven upwards by a combination of service expansion, stroke, cancer pathway driven targets and multidisciplinary meeting attendance.
