Job Description
Aberdeen-based technical staff role with full rights to work in the UK requires:
* Providing technical leadership, mentoring, and expert advice.
* Ensuring compliance with technical standards through verification activities.
* Facilitating technical lessons learnt through a Lessons Learnt Database.
* Verifying engineering methods and tools.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of industry rules, standards, and guidance related to Process Safety, including ABS, DNV, API, IOGP, Energy Institute, ISO, IChemE/AIChE, Step Change in Safety, etc.
They will also be familiar with safety-critical functions and performance requirements of Accommodation and HVAC systems in managing major accident hazards.
Candidates must collaborate with Projects and Asset Operations to develop/review Safety Cases and manage Safety Critical Elements.
Experience with BowTieXP, Synergi Life, and Barrier Management solutions (e.g., Enablon, Sphera, RiskPoynt) is advantageous.
Education and Experience
* Master's degree in Process Safety Engineering or related discipline, or Bachelor's degree.
* Significant experience in the offshore Oil & Gas industry, particularly in FPSO assets within Operating Companies and Contractor environments.
* Experience with Process Safety engineering and design is required; Accommodation and HVAC experience is desirable.
* Previous experience as Principal Engineer/Lead Engineer and Technical Authority/Subject Matter Expert is required/desirable.
Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
