Ward Manager Location: Altrincham Salary: £44,374.72 - £50,328.72 DOE Hours: 37.5 hours per week Vacancy Type: Permanent - Full Time Our client, a leading European provider of specialist mental health treatment, is seeking a Ward Manager to join their multidisciplinary team in Altrincham. We are looking for a forward-thinking and experienced Ward Manager to lead by example. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with a flexible, team-oriented approach to ward management. You should also have a proven track record in nurse leadership and at least 3 years' experience in a senior nursing role. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Lead the nursing team, efficiently manage shifts, and ensure optimal patient care. Patient-Centered Care: Build therapeutic relationships with patients to ensure individual needs are met. Compliance & Ethical Practice: Adhere to codes of conduct, standards, and legislation. Promote ethical practice at all times. Care Planning & Assessment: Contribute to patient assessments, collaborate on care plans, and monitor progress. Education & Mentorship: Mentor student nurses and staff, fostering their professional development. Professional Development: Promote continuous professional growth within the team and ensure access to the latest knowledge and skills. To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need: RMN or RNLD Qualification: A valid RMN or RNLD qualification is required. Post-Registration Experience: Minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in a senior nursing role. Supervisory Experience: Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity within a healthcare setting. Mentoring Certificate: A recognised mentoring certificate is preferred. Teaching & Assessment Skills: Ability to teach and assess junior staff effectively. Organisational Skills: Strong coordination and task prioritisation abilities, with a focus on Health & Safety.
