A prestigious Legal 500 practice, highly regarded and recognised for its excellence, is currently in search of a talented Paralegal to join their Residential Property Team at their esteemed Wokingham office.
This is a remarkable opportunity to join a firm that has experienced consistent growth over the past five years. As a valued member of their Residential Property team, you will be part of a dynamic group of specialists committed to delivering exceptional service and expertise.
Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Manage cases and oversee their progression under lawyer supervision.
2. Conduct evidence reviews and prepare case bundles, including identifying disclosable and unused materials.
3. Facilitate communication among clients, witnesses, experts, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
4. Compose general correspondence and legal documents.
5. Assist lawyers in formulating client advice.
6. Contribute to the Real Estate group, ensuring an effective working environment and supporting Associates and Partners on complex matters.
7. Attend relevant technical training to keep skills and knowledge up-to-date.
8. Handle a wide range of Residential Property work.
9. Achieve key financial targets, including fees, contribution, and payment of debts and disbursements.
10. Monitor live files, file closures, file openings, billing, time recording, and take appropriate action to meet targets.
11. Scope all matters appropriately, using budget templates, and deliver work on time and within budget.
12. Deliver exceptional service to clients, ensuring the highest standards of client care so that clients return and recommend the firm to others.
13. Assist with marketing and business development initiatives, such as writing for e-newsletters, attending seminars, and participating in other business development activities.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this role would possess previous experience in Residential Property. You should demonstrate effective time management skills to meet both client and internal deadlines, along with a keen awareness of the importance of client care, capable of addressing the diverse needs and commercial objectives of clients. Additionally, they should excel in teamwork, offering support to Associates and Partners when necessary.
Proficiency in Excel and IT tools like Outlook, Word, Digital Dictation, and time recording systems is essential. The candidate should be adept at drafting documentation with meticulous attention to detail, while also aligning with the strategy and vision of the firm. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for interacting with clients and conveying technical legal information in a clear and accessible manner.
