What does the day of a Care Home Assistant Practitioner look like?
As a naturally caring and compassionate person, you will play a pivotal role in delivering great quality, person related care:
* To work individually and as part of a team, assisting the Service Manager to ensure the effective running of the service.
* Support registered nursing staff to meet the clinical care needs of service users on a daily basis including under supervision in complex situations.
* In the absence of a Registered Nurse, take change of a service or unit within a service, taking clinical decisions within scope of competence.
* Work autonomously to undertake routine elements of an individual’s assessments, treatments, and interventions, following protocols, evidence-based practice, guidelines and policies.
* Assess, plan and implement person- centered care while considering the physical, mental, social and spiritual needs of residents and manage associated risks within scope of competence.
