Full Time - 37 hours per week
Hybrid - 2 to 3 days per week in either Newport, South Wales, Titchfield, Hampshire, Edinburgh or Darlington offices.
My client is a large prestigious government organisation and is looking for Research Officers to come and join their team on an initial 6 month basis, paying £25.36 per hour, Inside IR35.

Job Description
The purpose of the Junior Data Scientist (HEO), Data Scientist (SEO) and Senior Data Scientist (G7) is to code, manipulate, engineer, model and analyse data and/or data processes to underpin Data Architecture and support internal and external users.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify complex business problems whilst leveraging data value.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with data architects, data engineers, analysts, and others.
* Work with policy and operations teams to understand where data science can add value.
* Support strategic and operational decision making in order to create impact.
* Source, access, manipulate and engineer data processes with data that typically have characteristics of volume, velocity, and variety.
* Build credible statistical models from the data and use best coding practices to generate reproducible work.
* Adhere to the data science ethics framework.
* Explore and visualise the data to present the 'story' of the data in a meaningful way to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.
* Use an evolving range of data analysis tools and techniques, including open source.
* Continuously seek to expand a range of technical skills in addition to their leadership and communications development.
* Propagate data science skills in other teams.
